First Atlantic crossing age 6

My first experience of the open ocean was when my family emigrated from England to South Africa back in the 70’s. Setting sail aboard the Pendennis Castle from Southhampton to Cape Town. This was a two week voyage  in the Atlantic that crossed the equator down to the southern tip of Africa. For a six year old this was a lifelong memory and and experience that gave me a taste of the open ocean and love for boats and sailing the seven seas.
